Our Purpose

Founded in 2020, HydroHammer was formed to help alleviate the world's water, energy and climate change crises by creating their innovative Smart Hydram technology. Spearheaded by  Dr. Thomas Rowan whose background stems from hydrology and fluid dynamics, HydroHammer has gone from strength to strength in achieving its mission.

Our Mission

To use the abundant energy of flowing water to reduce the need for polluting fossil fuels in order to make the availability of water more affordable to consumers and industry.

Our IoT systems enable Hydrams to fully integrate into automated and smart water systems.

Monitoring

Our engineering expertise can optimise Hydram systems for individual applications and requirements.

Concept Creation

Dr Thomas Rowan first began investigating the concept of a Smart Hydram.

Incorporation

HydroHammer was founded to commercially develop Smart Hydrams.

Growth

Alexander Rowan joins HydroHammer - coming from material science and sustainability backgrounds.

Smart Control

Achieved a remotely operated Smart Hydram for the first time in history.

 2022

SEIS Funding

HydroHammer completed its first funding round of £120,000.

Smart Hydram IP

The Smart Hydram patent was granted.

Fast Start Grant

Innovate UK awarded HydroHammer a £50,000 innovation grant to develop the next generation of Hydrams.

 2023

Undaunted

HydroHammer was awarded a place on the Centre for Climate Change Innovation's Undaunted accelerator.

Advisors On Board

Hydrohammer developed an advisory team of of academic and commercial expertise.

James Dyson Award

The Smart Hydram was awarded National Runner Up in the James Dyson Award.

Further Growth

HydroHammer has four employees on board with backgrounds ranging from IT, management and engineering.
