Funding Awarded

This year the project was lucky to be chosen for a small grant award from the Institute of Hazard Risk and Resilience at Durham University. The grant will fund a new suite of experimental equipment and a test rig to enable the accurate capture of the water hammer effect as it passes through the Hydraulic Ram Pump.

Specifically this work should open up the case for further study and development. It is hoped that the data gained from this study will enable the team to validate some of the numerical models they have developed over the last few years.
